♦ Do you have an inventory of all your network hardware and software?
♦ Do you have hardware 'weak-links' that threaten the security of your network?
♦ Is your computer network protected from hackers, viruses, and spyware?
♦ Do you download software security patches and upgrades as required?
♦ Is your data backed up daily? Have you tested the restore process?
♦ Do you backup your data redundantly? Is it stored in a safe location?
♦ Do you have duplicate copies of all your software stored in a safe location?
♦ Do you have a plan to bring your system on-line as soon as possible after a disaster?
♦ Are your employees trained in proper security procedures and disaster recovery?
As a first step toward a disaster recovery plan, BMI conducts a Baseline Audit of all your hardware, software, email system, Internet configuration, and internal security practices and procedures.
Using the data gathered in the Audit, BMI performs a detailed System Analysis. We look for breaches in your network’s security, weak links in your hardware and software, and check on your system, your data backup and data redundancy. Just as importantly, we look at the security and reliability of your procedures for using and managing the network. The system analysis leads to a comprehensive list of Recommendations to fix any problems uncovered.
Finally, working very closely with your staff, BMI develops an IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) that details a set of action items to be taken before, during, and after a disaster. Major benefits of a DRP include reduced disruption to normal operations, minimized economic loss, increased asset protection, and ensured orderly recovery.
